Eight of us went to the open menu Friday dinner and tried EVERYTHING! The sushi is on par with Los Angeles or New York for quality, creativity and presentation. Our crowd especially loved the Yumi Press Roll, the Tropical Roll (topped with fresh mango and coconut) and the Azia Roll.
For appetizers, the Seared Foie Gras with strawberry & thai coconut gelee was a crowd pleaser (we had a couple sitting next to us who lived in Paris for 10years and said it beat the French at their own game). Also notable was the Scallop Trio (with chile sauce and lemon froth) and don't miss the Asian Lemonade Salad with its nod to Korean kim chee.
Are you a fan of Rack of Lamb? No one could stop eating the Char-su Grilled Rack of Lambbecause of its golden seared outside and ruby red interior (topped with lemongrass champagne jus and served with curry potato hash). It and the Thai Chile & Ginger SeaBass were the big hits at our table. But, I don't want to forget the plethora of Kobe Beef on the menu . . . you can have a Kobe Filet or Kobe Satay or (are you ready?) Kobe beef wrapped around butter poached lobster tail (yes, it's decadent).
There are souffles, spring rolls, creme brulee and more for sweets and the frothiest cappuccinos (served from a standout bar of mosaic glass tile with stainless steel fish suspended 25 feet above your head).
The 300ish seat restaurant is expansive, modern and hip. The 30-foot sushi bar is open to watch the 4-man action and fronts an entirely stainless kitchen. The hopping staff was on-pointe and dressed in black. For date night, we would reserve one of the intimate leather side booths with the panoramic view of the dining room and kitchen.
You could feel the love of the Lieu [Family] in every detail... rush, run, race to AZIA. It's fantAZIA!!!

I loved your restaurant; it has a wonderful feel, its beautiful and the food was better than anything I’ve had in recent months. That’s quite a compliment since I speak at fine restaurants nearly every day of the week.
Congratulations on your most unusual restaurant and especially on having such a fine group of employees and servers. I hope I get a chance to return sometime in the near future. READ MORE from Mimi

Patrick,
Peggy and I have enjoyed a variety of cuisine in several countries and have been blessed to dine at many fine restaurants. When Peter opened AZIA, we expected the same high quality product we've experienced at Lieu’s; the freshest ingredients from the best suppliers, carefully prepared by the staff. However, AZIA was spectacular. We sampled some different items and found them all remarkable. You must have painstakingly developed these dishes with great care and patience and we were rewarded with one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. AZIA will be our special event venue for our family and perhaps the business. Congratulations on this achievement which will certainly be recognized both regionally and nationally over time.
Best regards,
Randy Thompson
